A formatting menu will pop up. The formatting options you see will depend on what type of content it is to ensure visual consistency. For a heading you’ll see a limited amount of formatting:
For a larger block of text you’ll likely see more options:
Click anywhere outside the text box to save your changes.
Editing images
If there is already an image in the image box, first remove it:
Click on the image once to bring up the image menu:
Click the 3-dot icon:
Click Remove.
To add a new image or replace one that was there:
Note: Be careful to upload images that are optimised for screen resolution. Photos taken with smartphones or digital cameras are typically way too large to be suitable.
Click anywhere on the image box once. This will open your computer’s file chooser.
Find the image file on your computer and click to confirm.
Position and size your image within the image box. There are a few buttons/functions to help you make it exactly how you want:
Zoom buttons to zoom your image in and out.
Click and drag to position your image.
From the 3-dot menu:
Zoom to fit within ensures your whole image fits within the image box. Depending on the relative dimensions of your image compared to the image box, this may result in whitespace above, below or to the sides of your image.
Zoom to entirely cover ensures the whole image box is covered by your image. Depending on the relative dimensions of your image compared to the image box, this may result in your image being cropped to fit.
Rotate right and Rotate left turn your image 90° in either direction.
Click anywhere outside the image box to save your changes.
Editing videos
Templates with videos on them allow you to embed any publicly accessible Youtube video (including unlisted videos). To add one to your slide:
Click into the text field under Youtube video URL.
Paste in the Youtube URL for your video.
Click the arrow next to the text field to save. Your video will display in the box.
