Using HQ to administer your users/practice

As a practice admin, LivePreso HQ is where you can manage and report on your practice.

Getting to HQ

  1. Open the app’s main menu:

  2. Click to Open HQ in your browser.
    (You can also just type in advice.livepreso.com/hq or save a bookmark of this page.)

  3. You log into HQ with your Xplan account, just like in the app. However, if you’ve come to HQ via the app you’ll already be logged in.

 

Practice branding

One of the first things you should do as a practice admin is to set up your practice’s branding, which will be used in all presos created by your team. You can also update the details at any time and all new presos will instantly use your updated info.

 

  1. Click either Add your logo or Update to go to the account editing page.

     

  2. There are a few important fields to complete:

    1. You can change your Practice name to whatever you want to display.

    2. Click where it says Upload under the Practice logo label to open your computer’s file chooser. Select your web optimised practice logo and confirm.

    3. In the Brand colour field, the most dominant colour from your logo will already be selected. However, you can (and should!) change this to whatever colour you want to be the main colour throughout your preso documents. The brand colour is the main colour used throughout presos, on titles and backgrounds. For reference, the brand colour in this example is the light blue used in the heading and the buttons:


      If you do want to choose a different colour, click Select a brand colour and either choose another named colour from your logo or click Custom colour to pick one or to paste in a hex value if you have one.

    4. The Logo background colour is used on the screen your clients will see when they first view a preso you’ve shared with them:

      In the above example, the logo background colour is set to White as the Abbie logo is designed to sit on white. But if you have a logo that looks better on a background colour, you can set the logo background to your brand colour and it will fill that whole strip across the top of the page.

      Note: the brand colour is used for the small strip at the bottom regardless.

  3. Click Save.

 

Re-installing the LivePreso Advice app

If you ever need to reinstall the LivePreso Advice app, you can do so here—you’ll see whichever installer suits your computer.

 

Managing (buying) licences

Your Account page in HQ starts with an overview of the licences you’ve bought and how you’ve assigned them. In this example, the practice’s 1 adviser licence has been assigned, but the 1 paraplanner licence is yet to be assigned:

  1. Click to Manage licences for your practice.

  2. A window will pop up. There are different ways to buy and pay for your licences, depending on how your dealer group or practice is set up, but the pop-up window will explain exactly how your situation works.

  3. Make your choices and read the pricing/payment information carefully, then click Buy.

 

Assigning licences to users

You can invite teams members to join your practice by simply sharing the app install page with them. They’ll log into the app just like you did, and they’ll automatically use an available licence or, if none is available, you’ll receive a request to buy one.

 

Managing users

  1. Click Users in the left-hand side menu.

  2. Click on a user’s first or last name to open their page.

  3. You can manage your practice’s users here. You can change their licence type, or disable them altogether, which will free up a licence.

  4. You can also control each user’s roles (permissions) here.

Add custom slides allows users to make their own slides from the built-in templates, and to save them to their own slide library.

The remainder of these roles should only be given to people you want to act as admins. HQ manager means they can log into HQ. The PresoManager permission allows a user to manage content on behalf of everyone in your practice, or teams if you’re using them. Presets manager allows a user to create what we call presets on behalf of your practice or teams.

 

Reporting

The Reports area lets you run a number of built-in reports on your practice’s—and your clients'—usage. Each report page explains how it works and provides a number of filters depending on the relevant data.

 

Cancelling your account

You can cancel your account at any time. If you cancel during your free trial period you won’t be charged anything at all. If you cancel once you’re already a paying customer you won’t be charged for any subsequent months.

To cancel your account:

  1. Click Cancel account at the bottom of the HQ Account page (homepage).

  2. Read the details carefully to make sure you understand what will happen and that you want to proceed.

  3. If you do, click Cancel account.
