Editing your adviser, practice and licensee details

Last updated 12 March, 2024

Available to all users with access to the Ready Review deck

While it’s possible to fetch your adviser, practice and licensee details from Xplan, we have found that (a) a lot of people don’t have their details set up there as they’ve never needed to, and (b) it’s common for a paraplanner who might be making a preso on behalf of an adviser to not have access to the adviser’s details in Xplan, even if they have access to all their clients' details.

So, instead, we’ve made it easy for everyone (paraplanner or adviser) to just update the details right where you first (and always) see them: on the welcome slide in prep mode:

To edit the details for yourself and/or any adviser in your practice:

  1. Open any new preso in prep mode and you will be on the welcome slide.

If you see a Review button for the preso on the appointment screen instead of a Prep button, it means that preso is no longer editable as its scheduled time has passed. Go back to the Activity screen and choose another (newer) preso, or make a brand new one. Then continue with these instructions.

  1. Click Edit adviser to pop open the form for editing:

  2. Update all the fields and click Save.

Your adviser, practice and licensee details will now always be correct for every new preso.

Note: The data you save on this slide is also used on the next steps slide, the thank you slide and the Portfolio review slide.
