Available to all users with access to the Advice Docs
deck
Requires Xplan access to Xtools+
Note: If you don’t have access to Xtools+, but someone else in your practice does (like a paraplanner), they can create the preso with their access, then hand it over to you to present or share with your client.
This slide displays scenario models created in Xtools+, allowing you to easily demonstrate differences between scenario outcomes by switching between them.
Scenario selection
During preso creation, you can select up to five Xtools+ scenarios from those associated with the presentation’s primary Xplan contact. These selections can be re-ordered, and that order will be reflected in the scenario dropdown at top-right on the slide. Scenarios chosen during preso creation can be hidden or shown in the dropdown, via the Manage CAL models
button.
Interactivity
For a given scenario, you can switch between different models (Cashflow and Net Wealth).
When examining a model, you can change the age ranges shown by adjusting the slider above the graph.
Tip: To return to the full age range, you can click the blue minus icon, or double click the slider
You can also choose to show a breakdown of a given model into its constituent parts.
Clicking on legend items can hide or show individual data series.
Table view
For each model, you can use the radio button to toggle to a table view showing the underlying dataset. When a subset of the data is selected, the tabular data highlights the columns currently shown on the graph.
PDF creation
Graphs
Changes made to the date ranges and visible series are respected when a PDF is created.
Tables
The corresponding table for a given graph shows all categories of information, at all times. When presenting or sharing a preso, the table shows all ages (columns). When generating a PDF, the table reduces the font size and shows every year for the first 10, and then 5 year increments of data after this. This is done in order to fit the table within a single page width.
