Using PresoManager to add/edit content
Last updated 28 October, 2024
Only available to user with the PresoManager
role
As a group or practice admin, you can edit some of the built-in content and make your own slides using PresoManager, which you can access from the main menu:
This screen looks very similar to the slide sorter, except that here in PresoManager you’re editing the master content everyone in your group or practice will use, whereas the slide sorter lets you make edits to a single preso.
Editing content
Any slide with this little pencil icon has at least something you can edit:
Editing an existing slide
Click on the slide’s thumbnail to open it up in edit mode.
Click into any text box, image or video with a blue border. You’ll have different formatting functions based on the slide’s styling. See Editing text, images and videos for more specific instructions.
To preview your changes, click the Preview toggle down the bottom:
To navigate the preso you can click the left and right arrows on the screen or use the left and right keys on your computer.
When you’re finished editing the slide click Done.
You’ll notice PresoManager keeping track of your changes that have not yet been published:
Making a completely new slide
If you want to make a completely new slide, you can do so using the built-in templates.
Click Add slide at the top-right of the screen to open the side drawer.
(Optionally) Preview a template by clicking on its thumbnail in the drawer, then click Done.
Click the drag handle of the template you want to use, and drag-and-drop it where you want your new slide.
The slide will pop open ready for editing, and you’ll notice it will automatically adopt your practice’s branding colour (which your practice manager can set up in HQ).
Click the details button (top-right) to open the side drawer:
By default, your slide will be given the name of the template you chose. Make sure to give your new slide a short, friendly name at the top-right of screen, as this is what appears in the slide sorter, in reporting and in the notifications you receive when your clients view a preso you’ve shared with them:
You can then close the side drawer by clicking the right arrow to give yourself more editing space:Go ahead and enter your content. See Editing text, images and videos for more specific instructions.
Note that some templates are pretty fixed while others have a panel like this one that lets you structure the slide the way you want:
When you’ve finished editing your slide, click Done.
Again, you’ll notice PresoManager keeping track of your unpublished changes:
Making prep-only slides
Sometimes you might want to provide internal-only instructions to everyone in your dealer group, site or practice. Instead of having notes in the slides that users need to remember to delete before using with their clients, LivePreso provides the ability to have prep-only slides. That is, whole slides that only appear in prep mode, and that automatically turn themselves off when presenting to or sharing with clients.
To make one your own slides prep-only:
Follow steps 1-5 in the instructions above to make your slide.
In the bottom half of the side drawer, click the Find tags field.
Choose prep-only from the list
Continue with steps 6-9 in the instructions above.
Publishing your changes
When you’ve made all your edits and new slides, and you’re ready to publish them to everyone in your group or practice, click Publish.
Note: publishing is immediate. Every new preso made by anyone in your group or practice will automatically use your updated slides.
